Darul Shifa General Hospital situated in Jaffar-e-Tayyar Society,Karachi in the bustling district of Malir in Oct 1993 is a charitable hospital managed under the Management of a Charitable Trust. The hospital caters all the patients of near by and distant area irrespective of creed and caste. The hospital had 35 beds and provides all the basic facilities both diagnostic and therapeutic toall the in-patients and outpatients visiting the hospital.
In 2003 the hospital was renovated and updated with further sophisticated facilities in specialized fields of medicine A new phase of 100 beds hospital with the facilities including I.C.U, C.C.U, N.I.C.U., Burns Unit, Male And Female WARDS, Peads wards. Private and Semi private rooms and the modern facilities of diagnostic i.e. C.T scan, MRI Color Doppler Ultrasound, X-Ray , advanced pathological laboratory with latest Equipments , Blood Bank , C.T. Scan , 500 MA X-Ray Unit , state of art equipments and technologies Incubators , Ventilators along with mobile incubator , Ventilator support having Two fully loaded Ambulances completed and working smoothly .
The hospital management is running a medical store managed and controlled by the administration, which is running on no profit & no loss basis providing the drugs to all patients at reduced rates. A free drug bank will also operate simultaneously to facilitate free drugs to poor and needy patients.
The Managements is also planning to Launched Cardiac Surgery in its premises since there is no Cardiac Surgery setup running in the area with help and Support of Very Renowned Cardiac Surgeons Very Soon.
